“The Bad” The guys at WPMUDEV.org catch an evil plug-in

Being up to my eyeballs in work certainly has its advantages, but sometimes it’d be nice to be able to dig a little more into trends and new bits of code.  Thank goodness for the occasional email from a few organizations that try their best to keep me relatively close to the edge.

I received one such email this morning for the folks at WPMUDEV.org, in which they highlighted an evil little plug-in.  It struck me that it’s possible that lots of folks might be using it, as it promises something rather remarkable.  ‘Any visitor to your site (that has a current, open session with Facebook) will automatically “like” your Facebook page.’

Now that sounds great on the surface, but it can’t possibly be a good thing in reality, and it’s surely a violation of Facebook’s TOS!  Anyways, I don’t want to ‘steal their wind’ so here’s a link to their post, video and conversation on this little gem if you’re interested.  ;-P
