My Anti-Social Resume…Do you like me less now?

Inna Hardison #Eav(HAMEDIA) trades for 28.65 a share, with 22 shareholders.  Her Klout is 58. (ok, it was 58 when she started writing this post).  She can be found on FourSquare, Yelp, Trulia, AR, Branchout, Twitter @innahamedia, FaceBook, Stik, Triberr, Spotify, Google Plus and quite possibly a few dozen other places on the net she’s forgotten about.

klout - worthless to me

Combining all these influences, her reach should extend to some 20K people she doesn’t know.  She should, at some point soon, end up with a perk or two, courtesy of Klout, for something like vitamin water or some such.  Chances are, no one is going to send her a case of nice Malbec or tickets to Sting or U2 (if anyone is in a position of influence on either of these – I love you).

She has 261 subscribers on her neglected Active Rain blog and almost 200K Active Rain points.  She’s written 151 posts on there, few of which are worth reading.  She talks to a few dozen people on a daily basis on a variety of topics, people whose names she doesn’t know and whose passions, interests and the like she doesn’t care about.

In the last year or so, she’s been added, fanned, circled or otherwise befriended on one of the many socials by a total of some 1,300.  In real life, she has a hard time keeping up with birthdays and anniversaries in her very small immediate family.

And now for the important stuff.

Meet Inna Hardison, mother of two humans and two adopted canines, wife to one amazing husband, writer, marketer, business owner.  Passionate and always overly concerned about things she cannot change.  Early on, she has found the line between right and wrong to be rather black and white, and has uncompromisingly stuck by that initial assessment.  She lives by the Ocean, yet she is always nostalgic for the seas of her childhood, the Black Sea or the Baltic.  She gets lost in any suburb.  She misses the snow covered tundra, at times, to the point of tears, but she shivers when the temps dip into low seventies.  She has a knack for finding edible mushrooms in her yard or nearby hiking trails.  She misses her grandpa and her first dog.  She is yet to find a place she wants to call home.

Wants to tell stories worth telling again, stories that have nothing to do with making money or succeeding in business.  Wants to dance in the rain.  Wants to hug the very few people she loves across something better than Skype.  Wants to be a better parent, and a much better wife.  Hopes to someday have a real garden that the dogs won’t pee along the sides of.  Hopes to be remembered for more than her lousy Klout score and a few nicely designed sites, postcards, logos, whatever.  Hopes to make enough money to be able to afford to write poetry again.  Wants to look at the world with eyes wide open, no matter how bleak the picture anyone paints, and paint her own.  And, at the end of the day, she wants to connect on any of her many socials with people who get all of the above.  For the few who do get her ( and you all know who you are) – she is eternally grateful to any bit of technology that enabled it.

For the rest of it, I’d rather curl up with a good book, delivered, of course, digitally, via iPad.

note: interesting, as i was writing this post, my Klout score dropped 4 points.  Karma.

I love it! My Klout score usually hovers near 50 – today it’s 50.1. And like you, my AR blog is sadly neglected.

Don’t confuse your social media life with your family life.
Antisocial or not, I still like you anyway.

Virginia – I’ve made some good friends in my social circles. I treasure those. I just don’t think any of the “credentials” listed at the top had anything whatsoever to do with any of it.:-)
